OUR mission

Shawsheen Arts Studio was created to support local artists, educators and entrepreneurs in their creative endeavors.  We want to inspire creativity and connection in the Merrimack Valley and beyond and offer a sunny, open studio  for teaching and learning! We welcome anyone who is in need of a space for a project, to rehearse, teach their craft, and more to contact us for studio availability AND/OR if you have a class you'd like to teach with us!  

Founder, Rachael Longo (She/Her) is a theater artist and educator and has been performing, teaching and directing in the New York and Boston area for over 20 years.  She believes in the power of the arts to educate, promote equality and connection and instill a love of community, empathy and curiosity in children and adults.  While she loves to bring a fully realized production to the stage, she is committed to the training and creative process in her artistic work as well as her teaching.  Students who study with Rachael will learn the basics of acting technique and explore many methods and materials to develop a rich and meaningful understanding of the art of theatre.

In addition to managing the studio, Rachael offers private and group theater arts classes.
